Crux Prospecting is a small company that makes prospecting equipment because we genuinely enjoy prospecting.
We’ve spent a lot of time in the field trying different equipment, figuring out what works, finding what doesn’t, and making changes along the way. That’s how a lot of our products came about.
The goal with Crux has never been to reinvent prospecting. There’s a lot that has already been figured out by prospectors over the years. Instead, we like taking those proven ideas and finding ways to make them lighter, easier to use, more durable, and better suited to how people actually prospect today.
That’s especially true with the Gold Trek. We wanted a highbanker that could be packed into places where hauling a full-size setup simply isn’t practical. The result has gone through several generations as we’ve learned from experience and feedback from people actually using them.
We make highbankers, prospecting tools, and accessories, but more importantly, we’re prospectors ourselves. We understand that getting out there and finding gold is the fun part. The equipment should make that easier—not get in the way.
We’re always working on something new, testing ideas and looking for ways to improve what we already make.
