Instead of offering a different mat for every type of gold or operating condition, we wanted a versatile drop riffle profile designed to perform across a wide range of gold sizes, water flows and prospecting conditions.
Designed and tested on the Fraser River of British Columbia, notorious for ultra-fine flour gold and abundant black sands, Crux Drop Riffle matting is built to capture fine gold while remaining versatile enough for flakes and nuggets. Each section securely interlocks without the need for glue or tape making set up and cleanup fast and easy. Whether you’re running a small sluice, upgrading a highbanker, outfitting a dredge, setting up a commercial wash plant or building a custom recovery system, the goal is the same: effective gold recovery without over-complicating your setup.
Choose one of our common 6“, 8“, 10” or 12” pre-cut widths, or choose Cut to Fit for custom and larger installations. Each mat section is 9″ long, so you can build the recovery length that fits your equipment without buying more matting than you need.
