WARRANTY

Last updated: August 20, 2026

At Crux Prospecting, we build our equipment to be used.

Gold prospecting is hard on gear. Things get dropped, knocked around, packed into trucks, carried through rivers, dragged over rocks and used in conditions that aren’t exactly gentle.

We understand that.

That’s why we stand behind our highbankers with a lifetime warranty against material failures and manufacturing defects.

We don’t want our warranty to be a list of excuses for why we won’t help you. If something goes wrong, contact us. We’ll look at the situation and do our best to make it right.

1. Highbanker Lifetime Warranty

Our Gold Trek highbankers are covered by a lifetime warranty for the original owner against material failures and manufacturing defects.

This includes the highbanker itself and its highbanker-specific components.

If a component fails because of a material or manufacturing problem, we’ll provide the appropriate replacement part and any hardware required to install it.

The lifetime warranty applies for as long as the original owner owns the highbanker.

2. Accessories and Pumps

Accessories and pumps sold by Crux are covered by a one-year warranty.

The one-year warranty applies to defects or failures covered by the applicable warranty.

Accessories and pumps are subject to the limitations described below.

3. We Don’t Expect You to Treat Your Equipment Like a Museum Piece

We know how prospecting equipment gets used.

For highbankers and highbanker components, accidental damage and misuse are considered on a case-by-case basis.

In many cases, we’ll still cover the repair or replacement.

If something happens to your Gold Trek while you’re out prospecting, don’t automatically assume it’s not covered. Contact us and let us take a look.

Our goal is to keep you prospecting, not to find a reason to deny a claim.

For accessories, damage resulting from accidental damage or misuse is generally not covered.

4. Wear and Tear

We don’t generally draw a hard line between normal wear and material failure when evaluating Gold Trek highbanker warranty claims.

Our equipment is made to be used, and we would rather support someone who has genuinely put their Gold Trek through years of prospecting than tell them that they’ve simply used it too much.

If you’ve managed to wear out your Crux equipment through years of actual use, you’re exactly the kind of customer we want to keep supporting.

We’ll evaluate the situation and determine the appropriate solution.

5. What We Provide

When a warranty claim is approved, Crux will generally provide the necessary replacement part along with any applicable hardware required to install it.

Replacement parts are normally provided for the customer to install themselves.

We don’t generally require you to send your entire highbanker back to us when a replacement component can solve the problem.

This keeps things simpler and gets you back into the field faster.

6. Warranty Shipping

For approved warranty claims resulting from a material failure or manufacturing defect, Crux will cover the applicable shipping costs for the replacement parts.

For claims involving accidental damage or misuse, we may ask the customer to cover some or all of the shipping costs.

International warranty claims may also involve additional shipping costs depending on the destination and circumstances of the claim.

We’ll discuss those costs with you before proceeding.

7. How to Make a Warranty Claim

If you believe something has failed under warranty, please contact us.

We’ll need:

  • Your original order number
  • A photo showing the damage or failure
  • A description of what happened
  • Any additional information that may help us understand the problem

We may ask for additional photos, measurements, videos, or other information if necessary.

This isn’t just about determining whether something is covered.

We also want to understand why things fail.

When a component breaks, wears prematurely, or doesn’t perform the way we intended, that information helps us improve our products and reduce the chance of the same thing happening to someone else.

8. Warranty Processing Time

Warranty claims are handled manually by the Crux team.

Because we’re a small company and we actually look at the circumstances of each claim, warranty processing can sometimes take a little time.

Please allow up to 5 business days for us to review and respond to a warranty claim.

Some claims will be resolved more quickly.

If we need additional information from you, we’ll let you know.

9. Modifications

We understand that prospectors sometimes like to modify and adapt their equipment.

However, Crux cannot cover damage caused by a modification or repair that goes wrong.

For example, if a component is modified and the modification causes that component or another part of the highbanker to fail, the resulting damage would not normally be covered by the warranty.

If you are considering a modification and aren’t sure whether it could affect your equipment, we’re happy to talk to you about it before you start cutting, drilling or changing things.

10. Pumps and Accessories

Pumps and accessories carry a one-year warranty.

The warranty covers applicable material or manufacturing defects during that period.

For accessories, damage resulting from misuse or accidental damage is not covered.

If an accessory or pump fails, contact us with your original order information and photos of the problem and we’ll help determine the appropriate solution.

Where a pump or accessory is supplied by another manufacturer, additional manufacturer warranty terms may also apply.

11. Warranty Coverage Worldwide

Our warranty applies to Crux customers worldwide.

However, international warranty claims can involve additional shipping, customs or other transportation costs.

Depending on the circumstances and destination, we may ask the customer to cover some of these costs.

We’ll communicate any applicable costs before proceeding with the warranty replacement.

12. Products Purchased Through Dealers

If you purchased your Crux product through an authorized dealer, please keep your original dealer order information.

Shipping damage

If a product is damaged during shipping when purchased through a dealer, the dealer is responsible for handling the shipping-damage claim.

Please contact the dealer where you purchased the product.

Warranty claims

For a genuine warranty claim, you may contact Crux directly.

We’ll need the original dealer order information so we can verify the purchase and warranty eligibility.

13. Original Owner

Our warranties apply to the original purchaser/owner of the product.

The warranty is not transferable if the product is sold or transferred to another owner.

Proof of the original purchase may be required.

14. What Happens When a Warranty Claim Is Approved?

Our normal approach is simple:

Something failed → We determine why → We provide the appropriate replacement part → We provide the necessary hardware → You install it → You get back to prospecting.

If a replacement component isn’t a practical solution, we’ll discuss the appropriate alternative with you.

Our goal is to solve the problem rather than make you jump through unnecessary hoops.

15. Consumer Rights

This warranty describes the warranty protection provided by Crux Prospecting. It does not remove or limit any rights you may have under applicable consumer protection laws.

Depending on where you live, you may have statutory rights or protections that exist independently of this warranty.

Where applicable law provides rights or remedies that cannot legally be excluded or limited, those rights continue to apply.

16. Contact Us

If something goes wrong with your Crux equipment, please contact us.

Don’t assume that a damaged or worn component isn’t covered.

Send us the details, some photos, and your original order information, and we’ll take a look.

We’d much rather help you get your equipment back into the field than have you sitting at home wondering whether your problem qualifies.

Our Warranty Philosophy

We could write a warranty full of exclusions and fine print.

That’s not really how we want to do things.

Our equipment is meant to be used.

If you use your Gold Trek hard enough that something eventually fails, we want to hear about it. If there’s a material or manufacturing problem, we’ll fix it. If you’ve had an accident, we’ll look at what happened and do our best to help.

And if you’ve managed to wear your Gold Trek out through years of actually finding gold with it, that’s a pretty good problem to have.

We’ll do our best to keep you prospecting.
