About Crux Prospecting

Crux Prospecting is a small Canadian company built around a simple idea: make prospecting gear we would want to use ourselves. Prospecting equipment should work well without being unnecessarily heavy, complicated, or difficult to carry.

I’m Cyle, the person behind Crux. I started designing prospecting equipment after becoming frustrated with the compromises in the gear available to me. Equipment that could process serious material was often bulky and difficult to transport, while lighter options frequently sacrificed durability, capacity, or useful features.

Crux products are designed to find a better balance and to make prospecting more accessible to aspiring prospectors and hobbyists.

Our equipment is made for real use in the field, with an emphasis on portability, straightforward setup, durable construction, and components that work together. From the Gold Trek Pro highbanker to our brushes, sluice matting, pumps, hoses, and accessories, every product is intended to solve a practical problem—not simply add another item to the catalogue.

We also believe prospecting should be approachable. Someone buying their first serious piece of equipment should be able to understand it and use it confidently, while an experienced prospector should still have the performance and flexibility they expect.

Crux remains a hands-on business. Product development, customer questions, warranty requests, and feedback are handled personally. That direct connection with customers helps us continue improving existing equipment and developing better ways to help people spend less time struggling with their gear and more time prospecting.
